Our Impact

Faolan, Germany

Background:

The Project consists of the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance through a 30-year concession of 636 fast and ultra-fast Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points on 96 parking facilities owned by leading furniture retailer Porta, in Germany.

Construction started by Allego in H1 2023. In June 2024, Meridiam signed with Allego energy supply, O&M and construction contracts and a direct lease agreement with Porta to develop and operate all 96 charging stations. The Project also directly benefits from Meridiam’s prior experience in EV car charging facilities.

Through the Project, Porta will offer its customers a complete electro-mobility solution powered by green energy. As the identified Porta sites are generally located close to major travel routes (half are less than 3mn from a highway exit) and thanks to the absence of tolls in Germany, it will also provide electric mobility hubs for long-distance traffic.

ESG Matters:

The Project will minimise its ESG footprint through its implementation on existing parking lots. The Project will have an overall positive environmental impact due to the promotion of Electric Vehicles as a cleaner form of transportation.

Energy procurement through Allego is made 100% out of clean, renewable energy.
