These new partnerships confirm the appeal of the Voltalis system, an innovative, free, green and socially responsible technological solution that helps consumers’ disposable income and the green transition.

Strong momentum with local authorities and the housing sector

The Voltalis solution is receiving massive support from the French housing sector and local authorities. This is driven by the green transition and energy security.

  • 100,000 homes are already equipped.
  • These eleven partnerships represent a further 250,000 homes eligible for the Voltalis solution.
  • The objective is to equip 1 million homes in Europe by 2024. This is supported by Voltalis’ majority shareholder Meridiam

“These new partnerships are at the heart of our ambition to provide innovative, sustainable and virtuous solutions to the territories and their inhabitants. Solutions that contribute in a concrete way to the green transition while responding to concerns about purchasing power.”

Thierry Déau

CEO of Meridiam

For Mathieu Bineau, CEO of Voltalis, “These partnerships confirm the growing interest of local authorities and housing stakeholders in our energy-saving solution for the benefit of their residents and tenants. Thanks to their support, and at a time when the effects of the health crisis are having a severe impact on employment and the disposable income of millions of French people, Voltalis’ system is truly an effective and relevant solution.”

Voltalis: a relevant response to the growing need for grid flexibility and a major asset in the fight against climate change

The Voltalis solution unlocks several thousand additional megawatts during periods of high demand and electrical tension. By providing flexibility, Voltalis’ demand-side management solution enables the electricity system to limit the use of thermal – particularly oil and coal-fired – power plants.
Carbone 4 (a leading independent consultancy specializing in low-carbon strategy and adaptation to climate change) measured the precise benefits of the Voltalis solution, proving that:

  • Residential demand-side management mainly replaces carbon-based production methods, particularly during peak periods.
  • The Voltalis solution avoids a significant amount of CO2 emissions: in the first three months of 2021, the release of more than 2,160 tons of CO2 has been avoided, equivalent to 14.4 million km not driven by a recent diesel SUV ***
